1. This is a bit old. It’s actually from Teddy Roosevelt’s house on Long Island. After walking around the inside I decided two things:  1)It totally used to pay to be president 2) I really want a polar bear rug. (Though any bear would do) I think it more reaffirmed my appreciation for dead things, mounted heads, furs etc. which is really funny coming the the 6 year vegetarian. I think it’d be horrible being the president of the united states now. The job is just god awful, and with complete 24 hour scrutiny? Please, you couldn’t pay me enough.  I think it’s interesting how Thomas Jefferson as president would go into local pubs just to get the people’s opinion. No body guards or fancy disguises, just plain old Thomas Jefferson. Thing is back then he actually could. Everyone looked the same and no one had a real picture of the President! Now there are pictures of the president everywhere. (Tumblr search Barack Obama I dare you). He can’t step foot outside of his door without getting the all-clear. What an awful world we live in when our “fearless leader” must fear his own people? When the person who’s supposed to govern the public can’t walk down the street and openly mingle with them unless it’s a photo op.  See, this is why I can’t study for finals.
